How can I connect online using my motorola v3m with my nokia n810 ??? I have regular verizon service plan. I was able to get the bluetooth connection between my phone and my tablet. However, my phone will first say "Package data", then it will say "dormant." And my tablet will say" authentication failed.''
The connection type for my tablet is GPRS.
The dial up number is #777.
The user name is my cellnumber@vzw3g.com without the 1 in front of the my cell number.
    The password is 777.
I haven't touched anything with the advanced settings...I am not good with computers.

    Please help. Thanks.

I've never done seem edits before.....and I am not sure how to start. I did do some research on this forum and found something about dun, evo, x1 and other stuff which are very confusing to me. I didn't realize it would be so hard to connect online thru my phone. Is there anyway you can show me how to start this seem editing??? Thanks.

here's the link on how to do the seem edit...

    http://hacktherazr.com/guides/verizon.dun.ppc.php

just google for the reqired software, i think it's called p2kseem, people don't recommend it if you don't have a data plan and not paying a thethering fee of $15..(i'm not quite sure though)... this thiing could blow up your bill to thousands... i'm just using this connection if i have no other means of connecting to the internet and just need to check a mail or two... i don't know if this will blow up my bill since i haven't recieve my monthly bill yet...

You really do not want to connect to the internet through your phone unless you have a data plan. But I doubt you can connect in tethered mode if you have not arranged to do so. A software "hack" to your phone may change that ... so ....

    For Verizion ...

The data is charged per 1K if you do not have a plan (0.15/K if I recall). So it gets VERY expensive!

You can only use the internet connection with your phone software if you don't have the data plan (and even if you do).

Connecting through your phone with another device cost $15 over and above the monthly data plan charge. They call it a "fee", but it is every month, not a one time deal.

The data plan + tethering is over priced (if you ask me ), but I pay it because I need it (probably will change carriers when my time is up). It is also far less expensive than any other choice I have.

    Ken
