I believe the one I found is the most reliable at the moment...

I'm afraid, that change from *nominal* 1200 mAh to *nominal* 1400 mAh may be not visible at all, from user's POV, except placebo effect.

The only way for *real* boost of uptime, would be to do similar thing as dual-scud for N900. Interestingly, N950 would be still quite flat, despite double batt.

The problem here, is that there is no source of pre-produced "fat" backcovers for N950 - not even one as ridiculously over-priced and under feature-complete, as Mugen cover.

I'm planning to prep.are "something" for N950, when I'll finish body replacement project for N900 (see link in my signature). Who knows, maybe it will be even more than a simple backcover (it would be great to do something with terrible low wifi/cellular signal performance, at least when compared to N900's one).

But it all have to wait until N900's gooddies come to life

I'm afraid there is a difference. I have changed to 1400mAh and it does last longer.

The orginal N950 was designed for 1320mAh, so 1200 is definitely under powered. There might not be significant difference between 1320 and 1400 though.

Some things I've done to improve battery life on my N950:

Enable power saving.

Disable Dev Mode.Yes I've found this to make a big improvement. Also on N950 things like ssh is still active with dev mode disabled, once installed.

I've also disabled the standby screen under "Settings > Device > Screen > Sandby Screen". Don't know how much that power it saves, but I don't see a reason to have features enabled that isn't supported by the hardware.

Upgrade from 1200mAh til 1320mAh. Couldn't find 1400 mAh back then.
