Really weird connection Problem with N800

    Hi!

I suddenly have a really weird problem with my N800:

I can no longer access internettablettalk.com from my n800. I can however view any other site except for very exceptions i've found. Like shoutcast.com.

Also Ermining stopped working (freezes) since that Problem started.

    Any ideas ??

    Thanks!

The only think I can think of (because it happened a few times on my desktop) is some screwed local state. If so: In the browser menu, selct tools, empty, cache and cookies. Quit the browser, start again and see if it helps. This worked on my desktop.
    As for Ermining: No idea.

Thanks for the advice but that didn't help. To track the problem down, i tried to wget a couple of sites, and it is the same thing... The sites that i cannot open in the Webbrowser i can not wget. (Resolves IP correctly but than hangs in the middle of downlaoding index.whatever).
Other computers connected to the same router have no trouble accessing those sites...

    Any other ideas ??

Does it happen with both browsers?

Yes. And since wget if affected too i assume the problem is a systemwide one

I am brand new to the n800 (2 days) but I had this exact same issue on my XP box. I somehow had edited my host file to redirect a few different sites to a bogus one (this resulted from some ad blocking software I think) I do not know if the tablet even has a host file or equivalent, but if so that's where I would look. Sorry I can not be more specific.

Sorry to bring this back up. But after installing the canola update this morning i have the same problem again (even so i'm now on is 2008 and have reflashed my tablet a few time since i had this problem). I do not remember how i resolved the problem back then (i guess i flashed the tablet). Does anyone have any suggestions ?
