All these PAINT/DRAW/SKETCH apps build without any issues for chinook. Can someone possible take a look at them and hildonize them.
I've tried and can't get anywhere.
even if you take a look at it and guide me to somewhat.
would really appreciate it.

MYPAINT = http://ee-staff.ethz.ch/~mrenold/mypaint/
pressure sensitivity. which works with the NIT
compiled, working but never got to the point of hildonizing it.
probably the one I would choose for the tablet, really nice brush selection, and as i stated before the use of pressure sensitivity.

RGBPAINT(a lighter version of MTPAINT) = http://mtpaint.sourceforge.net/rgbpaint.html
compiled, working. doesn't have much tools to work with.

LUNAPAINT(sdl) = http://www.sub-ether.org/lunapaint/
http://io.debian.net/~tar/debian/lunapaint/
compiled, but receiving seg fault errors when trying to run it.
anyone good with SDL can take a look at it and let me know why is it acting up. The second link provides the source.

working on hildonizing mypaint.
seems easy enough.
and i manage to hildon another app that was using python pygtk.
hopfully i am successful a doing it.
then i think optimizing it will be the next step for maemo

As I understand it, Hildon is basically just the text input widget?

Mypaint look spretty great.

it is, but i notice after using it for a a little bit, its get really slow.
not sure why.
but I told one of my buddies to look at lunapaint.
hopefully they can get that working on the tablet.
we desperately need a descent drawing app for this damn thing.
for godsakes it a freaking tablet.

I've just built Mypaint for my n810 and I'm very interested to see the changes you have made to the source (Hildon and all).
Maybe we can work this out together? I really want this app...
Can you post a link to a diff?

sorry for this late reply on working together on mypaint.
but I got rid of my notebook, and didn't bother saving my vmware image..so i'm pretty much screwed on everything i worked on for the TaBLET...

But Gogh looks really interesting, its on the mypaint page. as a similar project.

as for mypaint, the issues i'm having with it are not enough to make me stop using it, but is enough to make me use mtpaint much more.
