    Music on mmc1 not being indexed

    I'm on cssu 8.2 Thumb and I noticed my music on mmc1 is no longer able to be accessed. Deleting the tracker db and reindexing does not work.

    I suspect it's to do with the fact that /media is not able to be read by user any longer... At some point that changed and I've seen a few other posts on the forums complaining of this issue but no real solutions.

    Any ideas? Is it being mounted with some restrictive settings perhaps?

    Install "tracker-cfg" and add the music folder on your memory card to "WatchDirectoryRoots".

    Hi, I have tracker config, and it's in the list of watched folders. But if it can't be read by user?

    I have this directory in the watch list, but went into tracker cfg and tried to add other dirs from mmc1, but no dirs are shown in the gui. I can see /media as root though.

    File system corruption? Have you tried checkdisk in Windoze?
    The default FAT permissions on the N900 are rwxrwxrwx, so I can't imagine anything else getting in the way.

    There is already some post(s) about this behaviour, fat file system only readable by root (please try that!). But I do not remember if solution was found (related to some cssu update?).
    @pichlo, weren't you involved?
    @shawnjefferson, Please use the power search.

    Quite probably - and suggesting a FS corruption

    Actually, in my case, I think it might have been permissions on the /media folder! I set them to 755, and tracker started working again. Maybe I set them to something else while trying to troubleshoot some other issue. Ooops.
