I did a search and didn't see this answered, so here goes...

I just got my N800 yesterday. I updated to OS2008 (easy) and installed skype, and then paired the N800 with my Plantronics Discovery 665 bluetooth headset. This made two icons appear in the upper right - the bluetooth icon, and an icon that looks like a headset. Everything worked great.

This morning, I turned the N800 on, and tried to pair them again. They connect, but the N800 isn't using it as an audio output. There is no headset icon now in the upper right, just the bluetooth icon. All sounds continue to play through the speakers on the N800.

Also (and this might be related) this morning, when I turned on the device and tried to listen to music, there was no sound out of the speakers. When I plugged in the Nokia headphones, I got sound through the headphones. (and, oddly, sound came out of the speakers BRIEFLY as I plugged in the headphones or took them out).

I decided to restart the N800 to try to fix this, and sound started and kept playing while it was off! It sounded like static, as if it was playing the FM radio with no antenna. It stopped after a reboot, and everything seemed fine.

But now, I have the aforementioned Bluetooth problem. Anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks a bunch, I'm having fun with my N800 otherwise.
