Also, i would love a dual core, even a small one@600/800MHz should make a huge difference, maybe even use less battery.
That's something for what i would definitely pay...

Yes, it is a single core.

Wow, this project is much more than what I would have expected when coming back to TMO after a while of absence. Just incredible. Count me in for at least one device. I already voted.

I'm sure you've got that covered, but please make the internal clock's buffer battery a cap or at least user-replaceable.

Anyway, keep up the great work!

Idea for the NOKIA logo on the battery cover: mill it down so that you've got a recessed rectangle and stick one of those gel-coated stickers in it.

How dm3730 at 1Ghz performs compared with n900's cpu overclocked al 1Ghz .
1Ghz vs 1 Ghz leaving the ram out.
    This is a good question.

Definitely will be less likely to cook itself up.

Anyway, i think a dual core@600 could have more punch.

Better a faster core than 2 slow ones.
    We'll buy only the board?
    How about sim slot?
    The same?
Hawe you picked the final hawdware?
Lte ,emmc , card slot ,fm ?

Yes. And DM3730 has definitely faster RAM interface and needs faster RAM than OMAP3530 in N900. I will try to get bogomips from some linux system booting on GTA04@1GHz. Or you ask aunt google, there must be ~2.3 zillion reports and tests out there answering that question.

And please don't turn this thread into a discussion about processors (multicore, other architectures, whatever). The DM3730 is FIXED, we won't consider using a different chip. Thanks for keeping noise about multicore and whatnot out of this thread. About all the other questions in post above: they are basically all answered in post#1 - we stay compatible to N900, feature wise and mech-spec wise. Also see GTA04 specs and manual.

Better make two things at a time, than one having to wait for the other.

The difference between single vs. dual cores in cellphones is notable.
