The birthdays of my skype friends appear automatically in the calendar and it's really annoying because I have a lot of other events and it makes my calendar look messy. Is there any way to remove them...?

I'm sorry, but I can't figure out how to delete them. It turns out that not all of them are from my skype contacts. My phone somehow picked up birthdays of most of my contacts from my facebook account. Still, I can't find the delete option anywhere in the calendar app. I also tried to delete just one of them, but still can't find the delete option.

Open calendar, choose Settings from the top menu, then Edit Calendars.
Some widgets have their own settings to change interdependent of the calendar itself.

Wow, thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for. Since you mentioned the widget, it's not that big of a deal, but do you know how I can change the widget's settings so that it only shows the events that are shown in the calendar app? Right now it's showing everything, including birthdays, as you said.
