I have been having trouble transfering the .img after extraction of the .xz of the armel image of kali. I seem to have gotten to 2.00 gb and then the transfer just crashes.

Does anybody know what the default format for the mini sd card in the back of the phone?

Some formats for drives have limits on the size of data that can be transfered. I know with ntfs you can't transfer anything over 4gb. I am curious if there is a restriction. Kali is 5.2gb and I also tried transfering it to the phone. I was able to sync my phone and transfers images to the phone, but something with kali I think being too big is causing problems.

Any one know how to extract an .xz file on the n900?

You do know that exfat won't mount on a n900. So how do you suppose I do that? Instructions Please.

Shouldn't be too difficult to port exfat to N900, as the patches have been applied to N9. A kernel is just a kernel

what kernel? All I can find on getting exfat to work is fuse-exfat, but can't find any proof that it works.
