Recently I've been experienced loud noises when making calls with my N900. In the beginning it was like background noise and I can still make calls but for a few days the noise was so loud. It's like the radio on the wrong frequency. I cannot hear the other side and the device then lag for about 20 secs when I tried to end the call. Anyone experienced the same thing? I'm running on CSSU-Testing. Is this software or hardware defects?
Maybe I'll go for a full reflash. What do you guys suggest to backup contacts and messages?

When was your last reboot?
Sounds a bit like swap fragmentation (even hits me from time to time despite having swap on SD card).

I tried rebooting a few times and did have the calls working.

Tried rebooting one more time and the noise reappeared.

So I decided to back things up and do a reflash. So far so good. Well it looks like reflash is the solution to everything.

This is quite contrary.

After how much time did it happen again?
I could swear only after heavy usage (browsing, calling)!?

And yes (erm NO): flashing is the solution to all SW related problems.

Well, it happened right after boot up. Maybe somehow it didn't boot properly. After some reboots it worked, after some more the problem returned. Quite random.
It was a long time since my last reflash (~ 1 year), so I thought it was then time to do one, as I also had some other minor problems.

LOL, this just made my day.

Seriously, talking about changing girlfriend, I have a new, "fashioned" phone as main phone now, but still feel quite attached to my N900. I just hope of the day phone calls will be available on Nitdroid, so I can go bragging around. Well, the day will likely never come though.
