I guess I had several times a "segmentation fault". The game closed itself during playing without error message.

Could it be that you accidentally hit 'q' when using WASD? 'q' is mapped to close the application.

I assume you just need to download and run it with:
python qw.py
$ sudo gainroot # apt-get update # apt-get install python-pyside
