Reading an article put out about Jolla (not by them), this caught my eye:

The OS will also serve as a major unofficial update for the Nokia N9 and the Nokia N900 / N950.
This could be interpreted several ways. But my mind read that as "You may be able to load Sailfish on N900." That may not be what they meant at all, but...

Even if it did though, I'm sure where would be compatibility issues at other layers. Apps expecting multi-touch, assuming apps work at all, etc. I certainly wouldn't advise anyone jump into it blind on a primary. Still, if it's possible... I've got a spare I may load it up on to check it out.

100% ACK from council member. This sounds like luring N900 users into flashing their device with something that doesn't give them any of the features they expect to see from their N900. Extras repo for sure won't work, so no apps from extras repo either. And genuine Sailfish apps (are there any already?) will most likely fail to work on N900 due to different touchscreen technology.

"unofficial WARNING" from my side

For me the N900 struggled with Nemo Mobile so I can't see this faring any better. Then again SD cards aren't the fastest thing in the world.
