Fascinating ...really...considering that there are many areas in the U.S. where there are legal bounties on drones...you see one ..shoot it down and you get money for bringing in the carcass...Not alot of drone love out there......Not that I'm anti-Amazon...and .....not that I openly condone such behaviour ...but ...my friend...this is just what we need......the only bug in the process would potentially be lowjack ...they will of course have something like that for loss prevention...to recover malfunctioning, damaged, lost, or stolen drones and the couriered deliveries as well ....just have to dismantle and seek and destroy the pesky thing amongst the parts...before you are found ...Zombie Drones...love it ....Spreading the Maemo operating system the Professor Farnsworth way muahaha

Not only a great free source of zombie drones...
Not only a great free source of parts...
It's also a great free source of essential vitamins and minerals for todays mad scientist on the go ... XD

Cracking drone control signal over Wifi with an Alfa AWUS036H?

I think those drones will use a totally different control singal Anyway, let's hope the project owner has still 5 years to figure that out before the drones come swarming over.

Hmm...ya...now that I think about it... by the time they are flying in 5 years ....I imagine those Amazon drones will have some funky stuff in 'em....and the (currently stated) methods of deviating them will probably not apply....BUT...what other devices could ground them?....In 5 years....possibly electricity shorting tech. ...microwave shorting tech... emp shorting tech...who knows what anti drone tech will be available.
Personally I will (openly) most emphatically stand against such action as corporate sabotage. BUT ...the privacy breach to every person is most definitely clear and present. Drones seemingly harmless delivering their parcels on their legitimate business errands WILL be filming and photographing everything that they can possibly see...the ramifications of this immediately are...Control and Money

1-the Control: alerting law enforcement and government of suspicious activities.

2-the Money: the selling of data to other parties.

ie. drone flies past your neighbourhood sees you have a pool in your backyard...corporation owning drone sells the data ...you get bombarded and specifically targeted with ads and sales pitches for "deals" on pool supplies...equipment...whatever. Live in an apartment? blinds aren't drawn?...you are no safer. smacks of the invasive advertising methods of "Minority Report" . Already Giigle studies it's users to aim at them in a similar vein. These reasons and others are why some jurisdictions and areas have set bounties on drones....may sound ominous...but they are simply prepping for what is coming.

Actually I was thinking at the same time (but wanted to stay as serious as i could ....so I refrained) of raising HORDES of poo-flinging monkeys in captivity and simply setting them loose .....
