I sympathisze with djselbeck. but I don't get it at all. I refuse to use or learn that twitter slang. I even lack a clear indication this *is* twitter or what else it might be. I have no clue what all this is all about or what it meant to say. You completely lost me on the whole post consisting of a statement without context and a .png with pretty puzzling gibberish in it

It's jalyst I think (I refuse to use the @ outside twitter), and it would be nice to get the context in full, given that this isn't twitter.

I'm unsure of what the issue is now that Jolla clarified their intentions and they are actively working on a solution for the bootloader.

I think for the moment we should all cool down a bit, celebrate new year and wait what will come.

As I've written Jolla IS working on a solution where the bootloader will be unlockable. Perhaps through the developer settings on the device it selfs.

So stay cool I'm outta here for this year

i didnt a for clarification FYI jalyst did. But, I questioned Jollas liability given thelack of information and what they did so far.
Atually, I pointed put, that I hope they spend more time on a good soltion, rather than buggy quickfixes as they jst did.

Here is a small spoiler for v0.2(*) that I've been working on...

Code:
-----------------------------
     Jolla Recovery v0.2
-----------------------------
Welcome to the recovery tool!
The available options are:
1) Reset phone to factory settings
2) Reboot phone
3) Bootloader unlock [Current state: unlocked]
4) Shell
5) Exit
Type the number of the desired action and press [ENTER]:
*) Disclaimer: things can still change and features be added or removed before update hits your devices.

But the idea is that if devicelock code has been set, it will be queried, and you can unlock your bootloader and drop to root shell and do what ever you like with your device. And these actions may void the warranty just like developer mode (if your brick your device on purpose then its your fault).
