sasacy,

If you want to reflash it, why are you flashing only the emmc?

Instead issue the following command:

Code:
flasher -f -F main.bin -F emmc.bin --no-preserve
Once successful, either plug out your cable and boot it up or issue "flasher -R" to do so...

Thanks for reply.
Hardware broken, so trashcan or sell device as parts.

Hi thedead1440,

Honestly I don't know what is the correct way. Anyway I tried your suggestion but failed. What should I do?

C:\Program Files\Nokia\Flasher>flasher -f -F main.bin -F emmc.bin --no-preserve
flasher 3.12.1 (Oct 6 2011) Harmattan
Warning: --no-preserve is not recommended, instead use erase commands

Hi,

Getting "Device not working properly" message when trying to boot my N9
as shown here: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...77&postcount=1

This happened right after uninstalling warehouse app and re-booting (as recommended by Custodian for re-installing a newer version).
I suspect I did not wait long enough for uninstall to complete before rebooting, but not sure.

I tried using the recommended method of "flasher --enable-rd-mode ...",
but the phone still displays the message during boot.

Is there anything that can be done to salvage the phone in this state, without resorting to a full re-flash that will wipe out the data?

Any help is appreciated.

That error usually happens only in 2 cases:

a) your main.bin has corrupted bit, please redownload PR006 image (maybe check md5checksum) and try again

b) your flash memory has broken down, and then your out of luck.

Hello!

After flash my " N9 " can't enable two things :
1- device lock
2- developer mode

Are you sure that your device date and clock is on current time. As enabling developer mode will fail if date is not correct.

I tried to flash my n9 and although it flashes successfully I get a nokia logo with a tool showing bootreason: sw_rst or pwr_key
so I guess I have a hardware problem and there is no way I can make it boot. I have only flashed -f F main.bin since I was hoping to preserve my data.
anyone had the same issue?
