Ok, so far I miss SIP and Skype...Skype would be understandabale, but what about SIP, isn't there the Sophia/Telepathy stuff also used by Maemo 6 which should be free?
And btw: I hate the closed messenger strategy of the 4 big ones...feels like with AIM/ICQ/MSN in the 90ties

can we get a libpurple back end interface for the win. We had this on the n900 and it was win(albiet 3rd party, it functioned FLAWLESSLY)

successfully compiled rygel (and a sh.....load of needed dependencies, updates of libraries on device etc.)
Testing during next days.
Then, see if I will create RPMs of all needed updates, libraries and so.
Since latest version of all packages also requires updating core libraries on device, I will need to test GOOD! (eg glib2 is updated to v2.39)

Hm, why do you need to update glib to 2.39? I think we require at max 2.32 or 34
latest version of libsoup fx.
Once I finish creating RPMs I will upload all, and I DO RECOMMEBD to try and install glib2 as last one. Rygel may/may not need it, and feedback is very welcome.
