I don't trust poeple without a Nokia n900...I'm also supporting Apple 2016 or until Jolla fully refund or ship the jPad to all backers and supports!

Reboot to make SD card recognized by Media and Gallery. This is nothing new. Happens sometimes when booting.
Or pull and re-insert the SD card. This helps as well.

You can still restore your settings by moving them to the new location, as you'd expect.

Still no luck updating, getting store error messages, altough I'm able to donwload and update apps from the store.

Sad panda.

Run pkmon while the store gives the error message. Maybe this tells more about why it can't download. It's probably a package conflict.
