@cvp: Yes, I have initially thought to include WebDAV support (for owncloud). That's also why I named it "own"Keepass originally

My plan is to use qwebdavlib for this. But no ETA yet.

    I'm getting

    Code:
    Error loading database
    Wrong Signature Please try again.
error message when I'm trying to open my kdb file. Any ideas why? I've tried to insert my password numerous times.

I'm using KeePass 2.09 on computer so this db is from that version.

ownKeepass cannot open Keepass database version 2. You can only open databases from version 1.x.

Thanks for this really useful application!

May I express a wish? After password check display text field for search and focus it

this should speed up the looking up stuff, as it avoids pulling for search option.

    Hi ibins,

yes, that's a valid use case. I will think about it.

Of course I should have read the first post more carefully.

Works great now after I exported a 1.0 database file! Awesome. Thank you for this app.

Do you think there'll be any support for 2.0 kdb files eventually? I'm using 2.09 on every computer and probably am sticking with it as it runs well on linux and windows.

@stn: I am planning to use the KeepassX 2 database code to add support for Keepass 2 database format to ownKeepass. But as KeepassX 2 is just in alpha state I want to give it a bit more time to mature. But this feature will come once KeepassX 2 is ready.

Thank you for highlighting "Search" if there is only one database! It works marvelous!

Another idea: A button "create password" it the new password creation dialog.

My though process: The user opens ownKeepass anyway because the new account has to be stored. It doesn't make any difference, if the users copies the new password from a formular into ownKeepass or the other way around.

Addidtional advantage: A strong and secure password is long and difficult to type. If it is generated within ownKeepass the user doesn't have to repeat it to prevent typing errors. The user could copy it from ownKeepass into the browser formular securely again without typing manually.

Maybe some code can be utilized from PassGen https://openrepos.net/content/orestes1986/passgen
