I bought n900, finally...
And I must to say that I have never been more impressed by phone software.
And I want to thank the community for the help I received here.
May be I can help with some testing, because I have 2 phones - 1 in bad condition, which is perfect for testing and 1 in very good condition, which is now my primary pocket PC, phone sometimes, favorite toy, etc... :-)
Pete here from New Zealand. Just bought a New/Refurbished N900 off AliExpress. Used GSM Arena to narrow down my options. The two things I really wanted was an FM transmitter to listen to music in the many vehicles I drive, and a IR Transmitter for controlling the tv when the kids loose the remote. The N900 is the only phone on the market with both.
Did lots of updates so far. Will do Nitdroid as well at some stage.

One thing I really want to do after studying the phone and downloading apps, is to be able to combine two apps, or modify one app to do an extra command. I downloaded Triskell for my media player, but would like to change the program to pause/play the media player instead of skip the song, but also stop and start the FM tansmitter. How easy is this? I guess I should start this topic in another section too? It would be good to have a GPS area calculator too. Though Maemo doesn't seem to have one. Would loading GPS coordinates onto the web be best the alternative?
I'm also more or less new here. I was a proud N900 owner over the last 4 years and visited the forum quite regular but just registered this year. For a few weeks i switched to jolla and so far i'm satisfied with it.
