I'm trying out right now if setting suspend mode to "early" helps. Supposed to eat more battery, but it's more important to me to be available. So far I've been out of the house one time and came back and Jolla managed the switch to mobile and back to wifi without any kind of problem. That might mean nothing, as sometimes it works fine and sometimes not, but maybe there is also a connection between the suspend mode and the reconnect-problems. We'll see.
Edit: Looks like it eats ~25% battery in 2 hours. I would have been OK with having to charge every evening (doing that anyway), but this might be too much.
1. Downloaded profile pictures are now saved to /home/nemo/Whatsapp/
2. Downloaded pictures from messages are saved to /home/nemo/Whatsapp/Pictures
Something seems to be messed up here. Before all pictures were saved to /home/nemo/Pictures/Whatsapp.
On the other hand there is now a special entry called "Mitakuuluu" in the Galery app. Maybe this intentional then
But all pictures in the new folder /home/nemo/Whatsapp are not recognized by the people app. So you can not use them as a contacts avatar picture. Copying them to /home/nemo/Pictures solves this.

did you notice some other things with your investigations?
25% battery in 2 hours is truly way to much...
is there a bugtracker post with this problem?
Can someone please tell me the prefix number of the registration sms? I suspect, that it is currently being blocked by my provider, and I don't want to blindly enable stuff.
