Maybe some of you already got it working, but I was having some trouble with it and now it's working, so I thought I'd post the settings just in case someone is looking for it.

    Account title*: iCloud
    Name: your name
User name*: your iCloud email address (example@icloud.com or example@mac.com)
    Password: your iCloud email password
E-mail address*: your iCloud email address (example@icloud.com or example@mac.com)

    Incoming server* (IMAP4): imap.mail.me.com
    Secure authentication: Checked
    Secure connection: SSL (IMAP4S)
    Port: 993

    Outgoing server* (SMTP): smtp.mail.me.com
    Secure authentication: None
User name*: your iCloud email address (example@icloud.com or example@mac.com)
    Password: your iCloud email password
    Secure connection: SSL
    Port: 587
    Use connection-specific SMTP servers: Unchecked

Here's the same. I would be very happy to check my me.com Mails in Modest.

I got "password or username wrong"... But it's correct.

    Any ideas?

Did you use manual setup of mail account?
Most pronably but else I have no idea (and no mail.me.com account).

I guess that it is a ssl problem that maybe the authentification needs also ssl connection?
And the error message for authentification handles only two events username or password wrong not ssl errors. So only one error message if it fails that it, not very helpful.

    Oh yes

    Most probably halftux is right.
iirc there was some patch by ? and was merged into cssu.
I remember to have extracted those libs from cssu deb file. But I do not know in which flavour (I extracted fom devel, be aware!).

So if you still use plain PR1.3 modest cannot handle TLS1.1/1.2.
But with the fix it can (setting:SSL).

    Thank you for replies.
First I solved the problem with forwarding mails from the me.com account to a gmx account that runs fine on n900.
