Anyone got the Android feedly client working in Jolla? I have it installed but every time I open an article it crashes.

Why would you use an Android app when there's a native client available in the Store?

I have both of the Sailfish apps installed from the store and... well they just don't work as good as the Android client.

    That's why.

That doesn't mean it cannot improve it. Make suggestions / bug reports to the author, and perhaps one day it can become even better than the Android version.

I'm using "The old reader" http://theoldreader.com/. Is it possible to make Tidings compatible with it?
I exported my feeds from the old reader in to the .opml file, but it seems that there is no way to make Tidings read that file.

Yes, importing feeds from OPML is planned for Tidings.

I tried both Feed'me and Feed Haven and they don't support any sharing option so far (they are planned, though) - what about ownCloud and Tidings?

There are two things I miss in Tidings:

    1. The caching of articles: Everytime I open the application I have to download all articles from scratch and can't "pre-load" them for times when there is no internet connection.

    2. There seems to be no way to acces HTTP-Access protected feeds (I tried https://user:password@url without success). It would be really great if this was possible.

I'm the author of Feed Haven: unfortunately there's no official sharing API for SailfishOS at the moment. As soon as Jolla will stabilize the API and accept apps using it for Harbour inclusion, I'll enable sharing options in Feed Haven.

By the way, I've just submitted to Harbour Q&A a new version of Feed Haven with support for searching, adding and managing feeds.

I'm considering this. But first I want to fix the issues where the app is not responding for several seconds, especially when having lots of items.

Do you have an example of such a feed? It's always good to have something to test with. I have implemented HTTP Basic Auth and HTTP Digest Access for Cargo Dock and that could be used in Tidings as well.
