Is there a convenient way to know when software updates are posted for the N810? It would be nice to sign up for an e-mail notification or subscribe to a web page so I would know as soon as an update was posted. Anyone know if this can be done?

FWIW, such announcements (amongst others) are posted here :
http://maemo.org/news/announcements/

However, most of the time word gets out before the announcement is even up, either here or on the maemo mailing lists :-)

As for new versions of the OS itself, I get emails from Nokia. Also for other news (e.g. availability of navigator back when that happened). This is presumably because I bought my N800 directly from Nokia and they got my email that way.
