now im having a problem, im trying to install the emmc vanilla and when i imput the comand,it tells me waiting for usb device (or something like that) then,whit the phone turned of, i press and keep pressing U, and then plug it into the usb, but it wont recognize my n900

thats because of the drivers not installing properly. check THIS workaround to fix this issue in Win 7 64-Bit

yes these are the files you need. and when done downloading follow THIS tutorial for flashing your device from step 4.

i couldnt install the vanilla thing,but i could install the other one,now,i have acces to the phone, is there anyway to change the lock code?? (for prevention, i dont want to mess up again in the future) ive read something about john ripper, but idk how does it works any help here??

as now you have access to your phone, you have to activate extras-devel and extras-testing repo to install recoverlock. Enable Extras-Devel from HERE and Extras-Testing from HERE.

When activated, application manager will update application list and then search for recoverlock and install it. and when done installing open X-Terminal and type recoverlock it will fo the rest.

Turn off extras devel after you have installed required thing and try not to update anything without knowing what you are doing when extras devel is enabled and format the emmc from device and then clear the optfs of all the junk accumulated there better try to flash the emmc file .-----you first need to flash rootfs file and when flash is complete dont turn on the device take off the battery and reinsert it after that continue with flashing emmc file

well, thanks guys for all the replies! (sorry for the delay, but i was without internet since last wed) i have my n900 fully operational, and enjoying it very much.

Correct procedure is:
first flash vanilla (emmc) image
then flash combined (firmware) image
all in a row so prepare the second command before the first, use command line repetition and flash both images one after the other.
