I don't think that this has been said before..
I don't smoke or something, but a friend of mine gave me this idea!

So what about an other half for smokers?
Maybe a place for saving the cigarettes and/or the materials to make your next cigarette and the best thing will be a small lighter (maybe something like what the cars have!), as I know that anyone's problem when smokes is to find a lighter

I'd be strongly against this idea and also quite upset if Jolla is in any way connected to smoking. Sure, everyone can create their own TOH, but endorsing nicotine addiction is immoral, at the very least, in my opinion.

It would surely create some good publicity for tobacco companies (you may even find a sponsor among them), but not so much for Jolla as a company.

I don't like smoking either (I don't have problems with anyone who smoke thought), but phones, computers etc are made to help us, so for everyone out there who smoke this could be really helpful!
Maybe we could program it in a way to help anyone to quit smoking (maybe something like locking the cigarettes for x minutes etc.)

As for the companies, sure this could be a great product for a tobacco company to sponsor, but I don't think that any of the other halfs has anything to do with the Jolla as a company...

Oh that's right there's this thread...
I had almost completely forgotten about it, given that TOH is still (mostly) a non-event

Maybe they can climb aboard the vaping craze*, health/morality implications there are very debatable, the conclusive data's many years away.
Still, I think there's many far more interesting & less ethically/morally questionable TOH's, that they can focus on.

*or rather a partner, not them specifically

And how is nicotine addiction different than caffeine addiction? Not that i like nicotine addiction.

Well, with caffeine addiction you're just an addict and don't poison the people around you as you do with nicotine addiction, IMHO. So that's a big difference.
Of course neither addiction is healthy.
