Very true! And Coderus deserves credit just for this very idea let lone for developing the client as development for other clients has stalled and there aren't many active developers for Meego these days, to my knowledge.
Maybe CepiPerez or u Coderus can make a line, viber, new google messagin service, telegram, etc implementation Would be nice have other message service app too
Maybe it's time to start fundraising company to bring whatsapp for Harmattan/N9 back to life?
As you know there are no active developers for Harmattan/N9 who can create whatsapp application for Harmattan/N9, but there are still some developers who can do it, but not doing because of no interest in Harmattan/N9 platform anymore.
Reply how much you're interested to donate (minimum ONE euro or dollar) for this company.

I hope that as a community we can start a whatsapp client for n9 project. Or at least a efficient codebase for the whatapp protocol that can be used for future clients.

Cepi already said that he lost source code and planing to resume work somewhere from a middle version.
We already know that no matter how good his application it is not open source,
It is also important to note that no one came forward to use Wazapp which is already available at github as open source.
Now when someone came forword to do something new and he has reputation of some very amazing MeeGo applications why we are dragging this to backward ?
