Dumb question, what is the on/off problem?
Can also reccomend the N800, it is imo the best buy, though am thinking about getting the N810 since I never will get used to the onscreen keyboard, but other than that the N800 is a suberb little device.

HOLY-SCHNIKES!!! 32GB card??!!! Much coolness point to you!! do share with the class what brand and type of SHDC...pleeeeeese?

Hmm cool! Some problems I foresee would be...
-Getting a screen protector
-Getting a proper case
The N800 isn't popular in my country (Singapore). Do you guys use the default pouch that comes with the N800? How well does it work?
Also, is a screen protector needed? I tried out the demo set and it seems the touch screen is quite hardy.

Nokia's screens have always been great. My Nokia E70 suffers a lot of abuse (many droppings and in the same pocket with my keys) and only has a few minor scratches in which you can't see unless you tilt it at an angle and reflect it off of a powerful light. The screen protector isn't needed unless you're getting some of the nice anti-glare stuff. A case would be nice as when you're not using it is when you're likely to scratch your screen up.

My N800 had the power on /off problem.Hopefully I fixed it.
Following is what I did:
1.bought a scandisk SDHC card and put it in internal slot(internal slot is picky).
2.boot from internal SD card(lots of people did in this forum).
3.cleaned the files on SD card(I had 10000+ on my SD card).
Trust me even there is a new framewire lots of users would still have The power on /off problem.It maybe the hardware problem(interal flash(flash)).
Following is what I did:

Of course I can't find things for the N800 here... but the screen protectors of the PSP are almost perfect (they need a 3 mm trim) and the same goes for the case... I got a great one that is meant to be for PSP but works perfectly for my N800...
I use the pouch when I'm not on the road...
BTW, the N800 comes with a "Screen protector", just remove the hologram but not the plastic covering (even though it gets all scratched in a month) (the plastic cover, not the screen of course)

Yeah, it adds up rather quickly. Of particular interest to me is being able to keep a lot of movies and television shows on there. I'm a big fan of a lot of the Adult Swim shows (particularly Frisky Dingo and Metalocalypse), and the tablet is a great way to introduce friends to them.
The supporting community also seems to be a good bunch of people willing to help regardless of how silly my questions are.
I have the power on/off problem but have resigned to just leaving it on and charging it every so often. The battery life amazes me. I bring it to work and use it on and off all day checking email and occasionally surfing and it never comes close to running out of power. I just charge it overnight and I'm good to go the next day. I bought mine at MacMall for $199 shipped but not sure if the deal is dead or not.
