Well man....I scoured my storage...os2008...os2009....but I do not have os2006. Even dug through the web...someone else may have better luck...I could not find it ....hm I have an idea ...give me some time...right...there you go...one of the few who MAY BE ABLE (emphasis on that... hey? ) to help you....(it is pretty old after all)

Hmm...I understand you are busy currently ( when you get the chance ...but while I'm thinking about it ...may as well ask)...how does the expiration work on the 2006?
Never used garnet os2006 .....
If it just takes note of the time you set your n770...then you could just set the time on the device before the expiration....fool it maybe? .(prob. not...but just throwing that out there...clutchin at straws ...)

2008 version works admirably.
2006 wouldn't bother with.... since the stated expiration.

Nada on the os2006 garnet vm...
BUT...
All hope is not lost...
Doing investigation on the web resulted in nothing ...yes.
Doing just a shout-out on the forum here got you either the os2008 or os2009 versions but not the os2006 you want.
Just expecting that since Addison, myself and a couple others who were paying attention at that moment you posted ...are the only people who may have had the file...well that is sheer nonsense.
The best suggestion EVER...would be to just surf through the n770 forums and take note of even the oldest posts and posters (especially concerning the garnet vm and especially again for the version for os2006) and private message those individuals directly...
That is the way to hunt down your file...not just post here a couple of times and hope the people you need to find are going to just magically appear.
You want it bad enough..
You contact enough of them directly....
and I'm sure one of them will get back to you and will come through with the version you want.
Well...I have gone through some sketchy places hunting on the web...still nada so far there...
BUT ...so far what I have dug out of our archives is ...
you can indeed run a different version on your 770 (he edition)...
synching your address book seems to be the only noticeable issue you can't do....from what is expressed by these gentlemen
and actually the last post in there by boblinds...he states (that there was some conflict which was resolvable and so) running a garnet vm not even designed for his 770 was working for him fine.
Anyway..in the meantime....If I come up with some "eureka!" idea of locating a 770 specific copy for you...

regardless ...try the os2008 version and see what happens...worst case you have to uninstall it or reflash it at worst-worst...
and ..if you want the file specific for the 770 ...as bad as you say you do... get started private messaging members who were into garnet vm back in the day...
at least one of them MUST have a copy tucked away...
