My Nexus 7 is already slow with Kitkat. Überslow would be totally unbearable. I guess that means that I won't update.

Over the years, Google made me fear OS and app updates. Their software became worse and worse with every update since 4.0.

Not that one. It is Slug-gle, not Snuggles.

This is just great. "I can't come up with anything constructive, but I can register a gazillion made-up names and rake in on people who do." Using patents as a currency is bad enough, but at least there is some creative process behind them. But names? Hats off, the world has just reached another low.

Occasonally I see on various threads that folks here prefer GNU\Linux. When I open a terminal on my android phone and type "uname -a" I get the following shown in the screenshot. So my question is, and it is serious despite how I've framed it, how gnu is android? Is it as gnu as the OS found on Nokia N900 or Jolla phone. Are certain features associated with gnu removed from the gnu found on android? Just trying to understand. Thanks!

Ok, Android newbie question here. I've got an Android device, but I've noticed that there is no terminal app. So, I guess you're getting a terminal app from the Play Store or something, right? Is there a preference as to which one is best?
