How can I view email source or full headers in modest?

Title says it all, sometimes I want to see the full headers for an email. Is there a way to do this in modest?

    Thanks

    Short answer: No.

Longer answer: but (as almost always) there is a possibility.
Open a terminal and navigate to
    /home/user/.modest/cache/mail/
then cd to the directory imap or pop (depending on your account)
and then cd to your account (you will recognize it)
    and finally to folders/inbox.
Now it can get tricky. You will find (a lot of) files with a ".~" at the end. These are your emails and contain full header info ...

    Have fun
Ah, and btw there is also summary.nmap which may help you finding your specific mail easier

Typical...I suppose a Maildir would have been too simple

Thanks, it's a shame there's no GUI option for this.

There is a simple solution. Inspect the same email in Firebird on a big PC.

Sure Modest does not have all the features imaginable but that's what makes it, well, modest. I do not think it was ever intended to replace a big email client and yet it is much better than any mobile email client I've had a chance to compare it to.

Yes, simple. But not as much fun as it is on device directly

Yeah I'll agree with that, modest is pretty cool. It may not do everything, but the features or does have were well chosen and the UI is pretty clean.
