    Hi ,

    I am wondering how whatsup connects to the servers differently compared to android client. I am on my office wifi, and whatsup cannot connect, but my colleagues androids and iphones seem to connect ok.

    I can access websites , email, Facebook etc without any issues when on the office wifi.

    I made a lot of changes in 1.1.4. Next version will revert this, bacause connection issues. But I can't do it this week due to personal issues.
    Please be patient.

    @nokiac: please send me log files to check this problem.

    It seems switching from wifi to 3G may have been a coincidence the two times it happened this weekend.

    This morning it is very bad. Whatsup seems to close within about 2 minutes after being opened.

    The logs all end the same:
    Code:
    Checking processes... not working
    IN: 0 - OUT: 0 - READ: 0
    Reading data...
    INCOMING:
    <stream:error>
    <ack>
    </ack>
    </stream:error>

    Checking processes... not working
    IN: 0 - OUT: 0 - READ: 0
    Reading data...
    There was an IO error: Connection closed by server.
    Connection closed.
    Stopping timers.
    Freeing up the connection.
    Freeing up the socket.
    Retry the connection in 10 seconds.
    Connection status: disconnected
    Disconnection done
    Edit: after restarting Whatsup about 10 times in a four hour period, it seems to have stabilized now and hasn't closed in just over an hour.

    That may just be a coincidence. My gmail sync interval is 'Always up-to-date' and I haven't changed it recently. Sometimes Whatsup exits after 2 minutes, other times it runs for more than 8 hours. So far I haven't seen a pattern.

    Cepi has written that he knows what the issue is. Let's wait to see if there's an improvement in 1.1.5.

    It's hard to find this problem. Yesterday I opended whatsup from terminal and didn't close all day. Today it crashes, so it sucks.
    If someone want to help please open whatsup from terninal:

    develsh (this is to gain access to contacts database)
    /opt/whatsup/bin/whatsup

    This way I can check if it's a seg fault or bus error

    This doesn't work for me, it just returns to the prompt.
