I wonder. Ambience was supposed to be a revolutionary thing, but it has not received much attention after all.

True, this is because basicly they just provided an idea of it (aka a basic functionality) and thats it - applies also to other half, android compatibility and so on. So not quite there but maybe after 5 years or something.

Also for me ambiences is not the feature why i'm liking Jolla Phone

i thought ambiences could be extended largely to basically be an advanced phone profile, so they obviously choose ringtones backgrounds etc etc, and they could be enabled in several ways, so you can have a ambience for work, one for home. these could be changed by GPS coords, or NFC tags, or obviously TOH.

They should be, see Angry Birds OH/ambience concept (probably delayed by the community response to the F-secure android fiasco), even though the partner-screen on the left can probably still work after changing ambience, it does hint at ambiences being extendable and not yet feature-complete
