I noticed this earlier today when I checked application manager. What fixes and enhancements are in beta5 - I noticed that the last news item on the site was Feb 8th.
1) Install Canola2-Cleanup (if you don't have it installed)

I figured I was going extra, but I've found (particularly on the tablets, but on PC, too) that if I'm having issues with an app, rebooting between steps tends to keep things running smooth, specifically if I'm uninstalling/reinstalling things. Plus, it's the tablet, so it's not like it's a huge ordeal to reboot the thing.
