That post has much more than Update 11 related stuff in it. ATM U11 is on RC6 but I wouldn't expect it to deliver before MWC. Tablet has to be in condition to be demonstrated and to get some good press, so it's understandable IMO...
That's that I think as well. Others need to take them serious, they need to make their presence.
MWC 2013:
No booth, no actual device just the team spreading Jolla's name.
MWC 2014:
Looks different doesn't it?
That is why I don't mind the delayed updates as I know Jolla is working hard.
I wouldn't expect next phone too soon. I guess their HW resources are tied to the tablet for now. They maybe start designing the next phone after the tablet is out.
Many people seem to miss that "focusing on tablet" is not only focusing to the new tablet. It is also focusing to every other device that will have Sailfish in it. Including the next phone. It is something Jolla has to do to stay alive.
There has been quite direct reference to new device after Tablet, so at least it's on the drawing table. My guess is an Intel-based phone, as HW adaptation done for Tablet might be partially usable on phone too. Also there might be some hefty subsidies to allow for powerful device at decent price...

true enough, but let's hope we don't end up in an Android 3.0 situation where sailfish 2.0 is essentially a branch hacked together for the tablet UI, which splits development effort from a seamless continuum we need to see a Jolla2 asap.

I don't think it is disappointing, no, since the same SFOS 2.0 will be running on both the phone and the tablet;
All development is advancing the feature completeness of SailfishOS.
Depends. IMHO it's the middleware, store and open APIs that are the issue with Jolla not whether their UI scales to tablets.
