    Thanks, Mikkosssss.

To everybody who have sent PM's to me : I haven't installed aegis-hack at all, so I can't answer issues related to aegis-hack.

    1. Here is the package for those who have aegis-hack by coderus instead of inception (I just removed dependency and repacked the package). Use it for B-4 step here (you still need to have opensh and aegisctl installed).
    2. anybody succeed typing with russian (or another utf-8) layout? My Harmattan's locale is en_GB, debian's locale is en_GB too. In LXDE I can type text only in English, when I swipe to russian layout and try to type anything nothing happens. Any ideas?

    Hi All!
May I ask you if this is still actively developed?
Sorry, I'm kinda new to N9!

    Thanks,
    L.

The last development was in above post (#373), by zxcvbnm3230, targetting users with aegis-hack. The first post shows Easy Debian for Inception and cites the open-mode version (in post #154).

About the todo/wish list of new features in 1st post, it is not my priority because nobody asks those features and I have many other projects for Sailfish, MeeGo Harmattan and Maemo 4/5 asking for my time.

Other development is about new Debian images, adding to many options listed in post #137. For example, armhf Debian images, like the sulu's one (see posts between #3053 and #3082 of the topic "Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing") which I haven't yet tested, but I plan to test it on Nokia N9.

what about easy debian for Sailfish?
Would that even be achievable since Sailfish is RPM?

Sailfish has chroot working without any need of Inception/open mode kernel/etc. So some ARM images work with chroot on Sailfish without any problems, but only with text interface, with no graphical user interface. Because usually Debian/etc/ ARM images need X11 which is not available in Sailfish.

As Wayland becomes an option (or even default) for some Linux distributions, or XWayland is ported to Sailfish, then it would be possible to try to have Easy Debian, Easy Fedora on Sailfish OS.

I'm a little confused. The opensh download page says that opensh causes malfunction in secure mode. They recommend a patched open mode kernel instead.

    1. Does it mean that if I run opensh on an openmode kernel everything will be alright?
    2. If we need passwordless root, why don't we use /etc/sudoers?

That DEB file, nope, you cannot install it.
The link you give points to intel-x86 version, when you install binary packets in Easy Debian they of course have to be arm version.
