You are right. It's not stated clearly, but with Extended Call Log it works. I forgott that after the last flash... Thanks!

I tried it about two years ago but ended up getting rid of it because it did not work reliably. The SMS counts the app gave me looked closer to what a random number generator would provide than the actual count. I hardly ever use my phone for voice calls so I cannot say whether it worked for that or not.
