This is modified hildon status menu which allow to be shown in fullscreen applications via xlib message. I created it for personal purposes but It can be useful in all apps like qmltube which has inactive status area.
xclientmessage is simple example how to use it if anybody is interested.

0.3.39 version doesn't support rotation so I applied the same modification to 0.3.40 version found in thumb repository.

To clarify: installing the modification itself doesn't do anything useful. It gives "super power" to other applications
For now only qt-control-panel supporting this. You can find it at openrepos.net

installation:
download hildon-status-menu_0.3.40-8+thumb3_armel.deb if you have thumb CSSU and then in terminal
sudo gainroot
dpkg -i hildon-status-menu_0.3.40-8+thumb3_armel.deb
dsmetool -k /usr/bin/hildon-status-menu
dsmetool -t /usr/bin/hildon-status-menu
