    The project was pulled from github and the only binary available won't work with the current version of the protocol

    Download WART from:
    https://github.com/shirioko/WART

    Run it on your PC
    Enter your phone number and ask for a code. or if you already have a code, you can enter it (no need to enter the "-" (dash) when entering the code)
    then write down the password that you will get.

    Then edit the file as normal user:
    Code:
    /home/user/.config/cepiperez/whatsup.conf
    on line 13, you will see password. place the password over there.
    it will look like this:
    Code:
    password="9Xy2345RLVByRxg6aeFJ7mvZ3X9="
    and you're done! no need to register or enter some code on your phone.

    I have tried several times to get a code directly via whatup to no avail, no matter how long I wait between attempts I always get a registration error : "Server response was: too_many".

    I also tried WART and while I was able to get a password, and embed it in the whatup.conf file as instructed
    in first post (as user not root) , when re-starting Whatsup the app still expects me to register....
    In other words the first screen shown is the registration screen.

    Can anyone provide insight on how to resolve that?
