I am trying to run Nitdroid on my n900. However I am hitting a problem when it comes to boot.
I copied the bootmenu entry from /etc/multiboot.d -> /etc/bootmenu.d
Fine uboot-update-menu can find the nitdroid config however, after reboot, the kernel cannot be found. I tried various directorieslike
/boot
/boot/multiboot
MyDocs/bootmenu.img.d
/opt/boot
etc
Only the nitdroid kernel is not seen. The power and default kernel work nice.
Hi,
...
I copied the bootmenu entry from /etc/multiboot.d -> /etc/bootmenu.d
MyDocs/bootmenu.img.d
...
Any advise?
I think you misread something. But could also be me as I do not use it anymore on my N900 (as N9 does the Nitdroid job better, but even there I touch Android only with fingertips ).
The config file is not the same. It needs different parameters (especially OMAPATAG).
I will attach my config (multiboot as well as u-boot later).
the kernel needs to be in /boot (or iirc also /opt/boot possible) and will be copied to MyDocs/bootmenu.img.d by runnning u-boot-update-bootmenu
BUT what could be a road stopper is that nit forum is down. And there was nice tut how to configure nitdroid to run with u-boot (some system files needed adaptions)
Maybe this info has been spread elsewhere ...

but officially only supported with u-boot (which needs tweaking of some nit system files - unfortunately this info is gone with forum.nitdroid.com); multiboot can be achieved with manual tweaking
