Try in the terminal, it should print nothing.

On the russian forum where I shared it they say it doesn't work (shows black screen), so use at your own risk. Did not tried it myself yet, maybe tomorrow.

Installed 1.2.5 yesterday and managed to register just fine; seems to work correctly, at least from the point of view of text messages (e.g. did not try attachments).

Has the WhatsUp project an "official" web site? I am quite new to the Nokia N9.

No, WhatsApp made the developer stop working on his N9 client (Whatsapp is quiet crazy when it comes to hunting down inofficial clients). There is no website and the developer had to delete the application from Openrepos.net.
