Just saw this:

Sounds like a nice playground to mess with Sailfish/Nemo/Ubuntu Phone and all that upgradeable and modular mumbo jumbo seems nice.

It says there that they are opensourcing it, so why would you want to replace opensource with proprietary closed source?
