The worst failing here is that Jolla didn't fall apart as a canadian company...
If they had...
they would have been bailed out, propped up, hell ..
they'd be in better shape from declaring "restructuring" than before ...
Jolla wants the backers to speculate widely so I think this thread reflects quality of Jolla.
I try to speculate.
Jolla will send all backers:
- Free Intex phone
- 400€ discount code to Fairphone2 with SailfishOS straight out from factory
- later on (exactly 1year) when Jolla is loaded with money they will send backers their ordered tablets.
Maybe this is the reason. Because a year passed and no one got nothing, same mistakes are made again and again. But yet people glorify them and if anyone point out the problem, no one would care about it and call them trolls
Moreover, calling anyone troll just coz you don't like what they say is new cool thing nowadays. Everything you don't like on internet is trolling, right?
Oh maybe after all those years of existence Jolla only proved that they fail on delivering(not only tablet), on communication, on promises. What actually they did right? Most of the trust they got is because Meego died and people wanted to see it continue. They used good name of it.
And yes there are good sailors, but it's not about individuals, but about company. Especially when most of them left already is proving my point.
So it doesn't matter how many times you pointed to the actual facts (like sailfish is proprietary OS), you would still find excuse, reason why it's acceptable. So maybe, just maybe, Jolla is trolling you and not me.
Maybe people frustrated because there is reason and there was plenty of time for them to change it but they only made new mistakes and new fails(while all of those are related to same areas of communicating and cooworking with community and not just using string words like "powered by people", " open" and etc)
But let's put that aside, after all anything they do "not good" you find reason why it is acceptable and it's not excuse, but any reason why it's not good is trolling somehow(do you see how it's ridiculous). So let's just make a list of things they actually done during those years. What they actually accomplished VS they told they would, even more, let's take aside the promises
