    upswing is ...
it saves you time having to do it yourself

    what's next...do you say?

    why...

windows 10 updates initiate critical system overheating...
    causing spontaneous combustion...

    solution:
If you want control and the last say over your own computer...
Set it on fire now before M$ does....

Windows 10 is shaping up to be yet another attempt by MS to control the desktop industry.

Yes they lost out in the 90's (- early 00s) and I don't think they have forgotten that. With their efforts to become even more like Apple, the only thing they cannot manufacture of the holy trio of devices is the desktop, so why not take control of the hardware people already own.

Well that's understandable. It removes something called Speccy which someone might have been mislead in to installing, thinking that it's the Spectrum emulator we know and love. :P

Beat me to it. Saw this and just remembered how Microsoft said this will be the "last version of Windows". At this rate, they're killing the interest in their operating system doing crap like this.

    yeah..
    welllll....
win 7, win xp and even some earlier versions software I'll continue to use...
But I haven't upgraded to 8 (tried it didn't like)
    I haven't upgraded to 10 (tried it didn't like)
and won't be upgrading for sure ...
    ever now.
I'll just continue to use what I like on win 7....eventually completely offline...
And use my fav distros for everything else...
eventually...ultimately....shifting away ...utilizing what win progs I can with wine, playonlinux etc...with linux finally taking the entire workload ...
    too bad...

Better than KDE3. But I've been using it only for the last 12 hours give or take. I'd suggest actually using it as opposed to talking about it without any or limited experience.
Daring to speak ill of the revered KDE3 !

Dunno if this one has been posted already, but a new Windows 10 feature to me: the Cortana AI Assistant will now (by default) scan through your e-mail messages in order to remind you of any commitments you have. Wow, I certainly feel more secure now that Microsoft can read all my mail...

    hahhahaahaahahaha....

    Holy crap!
    Wow!
You know that won't be just the end of that...
    It'll get worse...

Just wait until the new windows 10 notifies you that you have a piece of salad caught in your teeth and you should do something about it...
or...to do something about that irritating piece of lint on your jacket ...
    or...
    Insist...
    that..
    maybe....
you "really" should call your mom since it has been a while now...
and she must be verrrrrry disappointed in you for not calling every day...

Saw the whole Cortana bit but we're testing to see if there's an upcoming setting in Redstone that disallows this. So far... not one we've seen.
