yeah I saw yesterday where I messed up...
it was with the red pill

(I did it wrong by not deleting the http) so I figured I was at the red pill mode

and my second mistake was since I have the n800 when I read the thread, I thought the download link ;
http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/~kakaroto/n810/
was for the n810 and not for my model.

so I was installing the wrong files...

Thanks Xunil99
and yes it rocked

@kakaroto
can you setup a maemo repository with your packages?
it's easy. put your deb in dist/chinook/user/binary-armel dir
and run
dpkg-scanpackages dists/chinook/user/* | gzip > dists/chinook/user/binary-armel/Packages.gz

you can also create a .install file.
if you need some help about this contact me by mail at gnuton( n o ZS p a m )gnuton.org

cheers

It is installed. But it is very VERY slow, almost unusable...

Once I got it up and running last night the speed was OK. It's an easy way to transfer files from my PC to my NIT (and visa-versa).

Love the video conferencing with myself. (Me too. )

Why can't I find aMsn from the application manager? That would be immensely useful...

Kararoto,

Many thanks, brilliant job. Very easy to install.
What happened to the wink .deb's? They are no longer on download page.
Keep up the great work.

Well, for one thing it requires going into Red Pill mode to add some of the packages. These packages can't be added by default by the Application Manager.

This post by Kakaroto is a good tutorial on installing aMSN: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...9&postcount=12

Hi,
i am using OS2007HE on my N770.
I tried to install aMSN, but it fails, because i need libc => 2.5.0-1.
Is there any other way to install amsn?

the right packages for OS2007HE are in http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/~kakaroto/n800/
unfortunately it is a old amsn version.
