In that case it probably won't need Alien Dalvik and then 1 GB would still be fine for SFOS.
This seems to be coming out of the blue, which, contrary to any common sense, makes me believe these things will actually be released. I guess it will still be a while until really expensive and/or powerful devices are released with Sailfish preinstalled, but this at least makes me optimistic.

you'll see the difference when hold it, the same amount of ram, same os but different type of it ddr2 vs ddr3, even 2gb ddr2 vs 1gb ddr3 i still prefer 1gb ram with ddr3.
