It, of course, works. Some licensing issues as to why it wasn't pre-installed (or available to install during the setup)?

Btw, from the Jolla e-mail before the shipping happened:

Note: the USB cable is really short.

That's really annoying. Why the heck have they left out a compass? I use my phone often for hiking trips. Without a compass that's rubbish!

So Navigation is not possible at all with Jolla C?

Is that the reason, why sailfish-maps package is not preinstalled ?

Same thing -- maps is my main use case for these devices ; Compass is what sold me the N9 over the N900 despite the loss of keyboard. This time, I have to trade off both keyboard and compass for double the RAM which I don't really require to begin with (even when using the Gentoo chroot...).

I'm really tired of this. I don't necessarily want high-end devices, but why do I have to think of trade-offs at this level of cheapness?

Navigation is GPS, not compass. Compass provides orientation even without physical displacement or GPS fix.

It means no Pokemon Go nor any kind of geographical AR, though.

No, only the map will not auto-orient itself, the catching pokemon in AR is using accelerometer only (or mostly, check with eekkelund though, he has PokemonGO already running on JollaC, could be mistaken)

I assume you mean gyroscope, but in any case it means you cannot correlate the gyroscope data with your actual NSWE orientation, so the AR won't respect what was shown in the map (dunno if the game does that).

Intex specifications page mentions accelerometer, not sure. You can turn the AR off and get prerendered scene, again, eekkelund will need to confirm if catching pokemon works, he said the app works and GPS does, not sure if he caught anything

Standard zendesk service is now out of service ( already tried, automatic reply for vacation time). How to reach them instead?

In my case TNT is already asking me to pay more taxes and some paperwork expenses too.
