I'm pretty sure someone uses all the data that is gathered by all the users. I wouldn't go as far as these guys: http://blackbag.gawker.com/pokemon-g...rac-1783461240

Since the game is made by Niantic, which belongs to Google, you're giving your data away to Google.

Surprised actually, the servers are going down all the time, not really googleish at all. Wonder if its their test before big brother track-every-person-on-the-planet rollout, or they are really interested where children wander around, hmm
Still, their monetization plans seem sound (selling pokestops/gyms to businesses and then lures to lure pokemons (and customers) to them, doesn't sound like data is the prime cash bringer here)

MicroG still says the system doesn't support this unifiedNlp package, but works, thanks eekkelund!
Are those files valid for both Jolla 1 and Jolla C? I'm afraid not.

It became an independent company some time ago. Not to say there are no links to Google left (the dependency on Play services at least seems to indicate otherwise), but don't spread untruths.

I'm curious if even a single one of the 'Pokémon Go is stealing your privacy' authors is not on Facebook or doesn't have a Google or Apple account. Considering the application only works on Android and iOS, I think it's quite unlikely any of them truly care about what they write. All those websites even use Google Analytics, what a surprise. As szopin said, it's just clickbait.

I'm actually curious, was the point that 12-14 yos running around catching pokemon would somehow combat trump/clinton instead, or putin, or... Seriously don't get it, parents are afraid of new things, press gets clicks from crazy articles, are parents going to forget to vote, I just can't wrap my head around this, it's bad enough that google is holding pikachu hostage selling all those stroll-through-the-park data, how does trump/clinton come into all this???

edit: @bote jollac only, framework folder supposedly doesn't exist on 4.0 which j1 has, maybe if Stskeeps manages to fund the 4.4 port microG will be an option for j1 (but not 100% sure, really bad at android stuff)

Radio/TV is making people stupid, smartphones, internet... bit luddite/technophobic (especially coming from a place that will claim certain technologies are better and good for betterment of humanity/mankind as a whole, praise linux, screw bionic and all)

Heh, ok, before pokemon there were no people staring at their FB chat app or whatever while walking and going on bicycle lanes, surely that never happened, bit sceptic there. You do seem a bit angry, but really not sure if pokemon go is to blame for 2 worst candidates in history of us elections getting the nomination, bit of a stretch, no?
