I can't flex it. As a matter of fact I'm too nervous to drop it and not cause I'm worried about the phone but cause it may break a floor tile

That's because it is. It's called laminate flooring. Thick, fompressed paper covered with a thin plastic foil. They come in different quality grades though.

sorry for the bad photo. Those are actually white/brownish cement tiles with a smooth finish. Judging from my landlords general behaviour, they must have been the cheapest available worldwide though.
Gonna update this post with a proof shot when home this evening.
