Recently ...in last week of September...
I flew to Veracruz ...
Flew over the US...
And western and Midwestern continental US is simply becoming a dust bowl...god help the southern and central ...
Scientists have been calling that one for a while...same as much of southern Europe drying up...
There is a great deal of discontent due in part to the economic impacts of these climactic changes to our planet...
Think the influx of refugees from war torn areas of the globe is bad...
Wait until walls are being built to keep our neighbouring countries ..out...
I think it a great help if trump wins and builds walls...
It will save us canucks haviing to do it....

May seem callous...
But we have over bred....under educated...and have now a planet full of ravaging destroyers...
So far Canada's view on bringing as many who need help here is positive...
But the moment tensions and violence start with refugees will be the moment we insist everyone cool their jets and behave...or no coffee...
That is punishment enough ...

But seriously...
We are in a huge mess globally...

Well...Dave ..
Funny thing is..
Multiculturalism works very well for us..
The melting pot of the US doesn't seem to be doing very well...
I pin it down to the fact the US insists everyone adopts the same behaviour as everyone else...and everyone wishes to be an individual ...which is at loggerhead with the national philosophy...
Thing is...we appreciate everyone's unique differences and wish everyone to ..be themselves...
Consequently..many immigrants ...and I have many friends who are...or rather ..were...who badly wanted to be "Canadian" ...and wanted to know the way to be like me...what does one say to that ?
Be yourself is all I can say.....
Kinda weird..

But our country is an odd one...
We don't have the problems other countries do..haven't ..in the past...the future.. .yet ...maybe...

But ....still the problem I fathom is...
People behave the same inevitably the world over...
Violence...
And that is one thing to protect from...regardless the side of the wall one and ones family is on..
If it stops people readily killing each other and such.....then big walls everywhere please..

It's not any better in Canada. All you need to do is ask anybody trying to gain entry into Canada within the last 4 years. It's gone from a welcome thing to a tedious thing and most residents are wholly unaware of this process becoming quite worse for applicants.

It's still not as bad or exclusive as Australia, but it's getting there quickly.

Combined with the "me, me, me" mentality and "everybody that participates gets a trophy" (George Carlin really hammered this one in regards to child worship and parents and kids with trophies) yet society in North America seems to want a certain parameter of how you should act in order to be immediately accepted. And to be honest, if you're not: white, male, speak English somewhat fluent, you will find resistance to your acceptance.

Calling a spade a spade here. Differing opinions exist... but if you don't see it that way, you might be part of the problem.

Best advice.

Walls don't work if you're still allowing jackhammers, battering rams and whatnot.

The problem is that we need to be a post-scarcity society that mitigates greed and avarice and replace it with the one thing that doesn't exist all too often - compassion.

Until then, this United States citizen has little to no faith for a future where we learn our lesson and start to get along.
