I don't see trump as the issue but rather that the wind blowing over the globe. Everyone for it's own. **** the rest. We have problem in country so it must be the the ones over there to course it...everyone is more hostile and protective like we can fix it easier alone.

and agree...
there are quite a few nations that believe they are hard done by...
spoiled I believe..
having to come to grips with the multiple planetary crisis that are finally coming home to roost for all..

then there are quite a few nations ...that actually have had it hard..trying to do the right thing...trying to cope....and have had to make some very very hard choices to survive the disruptive times we live in...with mass migrations due to wars ...climate change..etc.. that has made many nations reeling from trying to cope with ...and I am not just speaking of nations which are helping or should be helping ...

then there are also nations which have had it harder still...who are in the throws of the horrible disasters themselves...

and I also see nations trying their best too...

So I can't quite say that the whole world is becoming insular and doesn't want to help one another...
More like...people are voting across the planet how they wish to comport themselves ...and how they will be viewed by their neighbours ...and how history will remember them...

In the end...when rubber hits the road...when the real hard times come ...
It is how we deal with ...how we help one another...especially in the face of hopelessness ...that determines the merit of our character as human beings...

Pretty devastating result. Will have to see if actions match the political rhetoric. Not too worried about stocks for now. They only go up and down and the only logical answer for how they behave is based on greed. Area 51's secrets will remain secret for now.
